Why Jazz on Jefferson warrants coverage
A boutique-scale street festival with serious artistry. Two headliners who bridge blues, jazz, classical, and world music. Regional experimental and emerging artists who expand what a jazz festival sounds like. All in Door County, a destination better known for lighthouses than jazz, on a holiday weekend the Midwest already travels for.
Boutique scale
One street. Eight artists. Noon to 9:15 PM. The festival is designed for depth, not scale.
Genre crossing
Blues harmonica legend to no-wave post-punk trio. The lineup spans traditions and breaks expectations.
Intergenerational
Grammy winners alongside artists releasing their first albums. A stage for the next generation.
Two headliners. Eight artists.
