Accessibility

Everyone
belongs here

Jazz on Jefferson is designed to welcome every guest. Accessibility is a named festival experience, not an afterthought.

Our commitment

Accessibility at the festival

Accessibility support is one of the festival's named experiences. We are building the festival to be welcoming and navigable for all guests, and we want to hear from you about specific needs before you arrive.

Contact us about access

Write to info@jazzonjefferson.net with specific accessibility needs and the team will help you plan your day.

Indoor performance space

Indoor performance space allows music programming to continue if ordinary weather affects the street festival. This also provides an accessible alternative to the outdoor street setting.

Street-festival setting

The festival is centered on Jefferson Street in downtown Sturgeon Bay. Detailed information about accessible parking, routing, seating, and facilities will be published closer to the festival.

Volunteer accessibility support

Accessibility support is one of the volunteer categories. Trained volunteers will be available to help guests navigate the festival.

Website accessibility

Built for everyone

This website targets WCAG 2.2 AA best practices.

  • Keyboard navigation throughout the site
  • Visible focus states on all interactive elements
  • Skip link to bypass navigation
  • Semantic headings and landmarks
  • Labeled forms with correct autocomplete attributes
  • Alt text on meaningful images
  • Reduced-motion support
  • Sufficient color contrast

If you encounter a barrier on this website, please write to info@jazzonjefferson.net and we will work to fix it.
